Dear all,

In the past few weeks, we have added memory to a dozen of our storage machines. This operation is now finished. We have already seen that this has increased the stability of the /pnfs system.

Dear all,

We are continuing the upgrade of our storage machines by adding more memory. This has proven to be the key ingredient for a more stable /pnfs. As we need to stop the machine before adding memory, a small number of files will be unavailable during this process. Which files exactly are unavailable will change during the day, as we will upgrade 8 machines. As a rule, the files should be unavailable for less than 1h.
